The Women's Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Guidance and Continuing Education Units at the College of Education for Girls, organized an awareness symposium entitled the psychological and health effects of breast cancer.
The symposium included two axes: The first health axis was presented by Dr. Ghaleb Al-Moussawi, in which he addressed the genetic and environmental causes of infection, the necessity of periodic examination to ensure the absence of infection, attention to healthy nutrition and exercise, and giving the rates of infections in the world, Arab countries and Iraq. He stressed the necessity of awareness and attention to symptoms and review. early to address it.
As for the second psychological axis, it was presented by Dr. Hana Abdel Nabi Al-Abadi, head of the Educational Guidance Unit, in which she emphasized taking into account the psychological state of the afflicted patients, instilling a spirit of optimism in them and raising morale, and changing the surrounding environment through travel and religious and recreational visits and trips to reduce the patients’ feelings of guilt and help them get through the period. Treatment is easy and safe.
