The Educational Counseling and Psychological Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college, and the Department of Management Information Systems, organized an educational and guidance workshop entitled (Programming is the Language of the Future, Intended by the Department of Management Information Systems for the Future of Programming and Databases)

The workshop, which was attended by Dr. Arafat Nasser Jassim
And the students of the fourth stage, Imad Walid Abdel Wahed, and Salam Mashreq Hamad,
The importance of databases and their effects in serving society to facilitate life and societal concerns.
The workshop aimed to introduce databases and programming, and a model was taken from the databases of the Children’s Specialized Hospital and worked on it, as well as results from the Department of Management Information Systems from graduates who can work within the databases and information technology divisions.

In conclusion, the workshop recommended that students pay attention to studying programming and focus on it in serving and developing society as it is the basis for the progress of societies.
